Prototype Design Survey II
Workshop with Dr.Julien Reboud
In this workshop, we will explore practical approaches to prototyping. Julien will use examples from previous projects to illustrate the design process and the risks-taking required. These will be based on medical diagnostic devices with applications in both high resource settings (such as Scotland) and low-resource settings (such as sub-Saharan Africa). There will then be ample time to discuss projects happening in the co-lab and how prototypes could be upgraded and validated to get to a workable solution to challenges in a rapid time frame. Depending on time and interest, the audience could start work on new versions of low-costs diagnostics for malaria.
